Mission Groups
When we have been impacted and changed by Jesus, then it ought to show! It should cease to be head knowledge alone but also something that others can see clearly happening in you. “What changed you?” should be a normal question we get asked a lot. If you harness this motivation with the passions that God has given each of us, then you should end up with disciples who are living out a message (not just talking about it) in the middle of everyday pursuits that they enjoy and which their friends can relate to. That is why we want to see numbers of mission groups grow. These are small groups of friends who are enjoying the quality of life that Jesus brings alongside things that they are passionate about. This could be anything from fishing to reading books, from cooking to car mechanics, from creative arts to caring for the disadvantaged.
At present we have four such mission groups:
- Mission to age and stage (20s & 30s)
- Purpose/Passion: To gather young people
- About the group: We get together regulary for football, trips out, tea after the Saoirse Bread gathering and just general fun. We want to help people link into Saoirse and build community.
- Contact person: Pete & Michelle Foster
- Mission to see Saoirse healthy: Justyn Pride
- Mission through hobby or activity (Creative Arts): Steve and Debs Thomas
If you are interested in joining one, then there are two ways of getting involved:
